Tuesday night

Here you go!!!

For Wednesday....
1, 2 and 4th have classroom, 5th has gym and 7th has outside free time.

6th grade- your assignment is to write one page on the 3 main nutrients that give you calories.
They are protein, carbohydrates and fats.  You have the hand out to all of these.  Finish the handouts in class and then summarize the 3 nutrients.  You need to know why we need them, the foods they are
in, the calories per gram, and the percentage we need per day.  All this information is in the notes.
I will give you more information tomorrow night.  This is due Thursday in the classroom.

7th grade-  You have to compare and contrast the last 3 fitness components.  This assignment is due Thursday.  The sub will give you notes Weds for 4th period.  5th period I will help you with body comp on Thursday, if needed.  All info is online though!
We are done with cardiovascular and muscle endurance.  We have taken notes for muscle strength
and flexability.  Sub will go over body comp with you.  Then again summarize the 3.  Tell me similarities and differences.  Body comp has to do with nutrition and calories in and calories out.
It is fat percentage and muscle mass.  All components must work together for you to be the best that you can be!

8th period- You need to also know the 3 main nutrients that give you calories.  This assignment is due Friday.  Explain the same thing as 6th graders, as shown above.  If you do not have your notes from the last few years, just look up the answers on line!  We can talk about it Thursday.  But it is due at the start of class Friday.

All assignments are due at the start of the class the day due, to get full points!

Have a great day and be great for the sub!!!!

Weds night notes

Okay here we go....

6th grade look at  last nights blog.  Info for your test is there.
I gave it to second period last night.

7th grade-

Make sure you can spell the words correctly!
All the questions are short answer, so make sure you know the information so
you can explain the answer.  When writing about the cardio workout, explain ALL the instructions
like you were given it to someone new!  What is a warm-up and why it is important.

The last question you really do have to think about.  What game do we play that works both ME and Cardio?  Think of the definitions of these components and then the answer will be easy.  There are many answers to this questions.  Defend your answer!

So continue studying and you will do great!

See you tomorrow!

Sleep well......

for 8th grade and 2nd period

Here you go....

8th graders have their test Wednesday.  Remember to study.   We have gone over the information often, so here are your helpful hints.
Know the side effects of eating disorders, and how to get strong in a healthy way.  We use the fitness room, weights and do push ups to get strong, these are just a few examples.
What game/activity do we do in lifelong fitness to help us get or stay strong?  Know this!

6th grade-
Your test hints are - when looking at extra credit know the serving size,  like 1 cup for fruit and veggies and 1 oz for meat and grains.   For servings per day write down a range of numbers, not just one number, like 0-1 for fats and oils.

Your quiz is on the 5 fitness components, specifically cardiovascular and
muscle endurance.  Know you THR and how to find it. We will review Wednesday
and your quiz is Thursday.

8th grade-
Your quiz is on eating disorders and steroids.   We have reviewed plenty
and your quiz is Wednesday.    I am gone on Tues and Thurs.  Be good for the sub.

For ALL grades, make sure you study.  All quizzes are short answer and you must use complete sentences.  Your study guide is due before you can take test, so do not lose it!  Study from it!

information.
