Week of September 20





Welcome back!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Tuesday is Back to School Night.  Make sure you give your parents 
the letter you received from your homeroom teacher with your schedule.

What is happening this week:
6th grade will play Capture the Flag one more day-Monday.
Then we will begin Pickleball on Tuesday for the week.
7/8th grade will begin Pickleball on Monday for the week.

If you are on Independent Study please look at the videos and 
answer the questions in Google CR.

We will also go over muscles and stretches.  
The lists of muscles will be in Google CR also.

  1. Bicep-front upper arm

  2. Tricep-back upper arm

  3. Hamstring-back upper leg

  4. Quadricep-front upper leg

  5. Gastrocnemius-back lower leg

  6. Brachioradialis-forearm, flexes forearm at elbow

  7. Anterior deltoid-front shoulder

  8. Posterior deltoid-back shoulder

  9. Abdominals-stomach

  10. External obliques-sides of torso

  11. Trapezius-upper back

  12. Latissimus dorsi-below scapula, sides of thoracic spine

  13. Erector spinae-along spine

  14. Glutes-behind hips, buttocks

  15. Pectoralis-chest 

  16. Soleus-attached to achilles and calcaneus

  17. Achilles tendon-attached to soleus

  18. Tibialis anterior-shin muscle

  19. Hip flexor-works with glutes, front of hips where legs bend

  20. Adductor-inner thigh

  21. Abductor-outer thigh

  22. Sternocleidomastoid-neck muscles, each side
